Latin urban singer and songwriter Isabella Rodríguez Rivera was born in Honduras in 1993, but in her early teens her family relocated to the U.S. but ultimately settled in Montreal, Canada. Rodríguez began to attract attention in the late 2010s as Isabella Lovestory, her saucy, self-empowered alter ego, with a series of singles ("Mariposa," "Golosa"), remixes, and mixtapes on the SoundCloud platform. Arriving in 2022, her first official album, Amor Hardcore, further established Lovestory's credentials as a neoperreo instigator, a reggaeton subgenre with gender-subverting overtones and a stronger electronica influence. More singles and collaborations, as well as international tours and festival appearances, paved the way for Lovestory's second album, Vanity, released in June 2025.
