France's Insula Orchestra is integral to the unique sound world imagined by conductor Laurence Equilbey. The group has collaborated with her choral group Accentus and with other major vocal and instrumental artists. In concert, the group has performed orchestral music from the Classical and Romantic periods, with Mozart, Schubert, and Weber often forming the core of its programs and recordings. In 2025, the group was heard on the album Beethoven: King Stephan; The Ruins of Athens; Leonore Prohaska, released in conjunction with Equilbey's manga-inspired "Beethoven Wars" concerts.
