Formed in secret, alternative band I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME denied their own existence for nearly a year before signing to Fearless Records.
∙ The band, which takes influence from Sparks, Elvis Costello, Talking Heads, and The Ink Spots, was initially a solo project of Dallon Weekes, before he recruited his friend Ryan Seaman on drums.
∙ Their name—aka iDKHOW—was inspired by a quote by Doc Brown in the beloved 1985 movie Back to the Future.
∙ Their 2018 EP, 1981 Extended Play, and 2020 debut LP, RAZZMATAZZ, both entered the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
∙ RAZZMATAZZ was included on The Rock Sound Albums of the Year 2020 list and was later voted as the publication’s official Album of the Year by a poll of users.
∙ An international hit, their 2020 single “Leave Me Alone” peaked at No. 12 on Billboard’s Canada Rock chart and climbed to No. 1 on the US Alternative Airplay list.
∙ Marking their first major TV appearance, iDKHOW performed “Leave Me Alone” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2021.
