Czech pop singer Helena Zetová got her start in the business in the late 1990s upon joining a handful of rock bands -- one American -- that were based in Western Europe. Back in the Czech Republic in 2000, she joined forces with fellow pop singers Tereza Cernochová and Tereza Kerndlova to form the girl group Black Milk. The group's 2002 debut was a hit, but by 2005 the trio had disbanded, and Zetová released her debut solo full-length, Ready to Roll, that October and was soon filling concert halls. In 2006, she took on guest vocalist duties for the band No Name and their tour. Her next record, 2008's Crossing Bridges, peaked at number five on the Czech album chart. It proved to be her final album before her death in 2024 at the age of 44.
