In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember hearing Angus and Julia Stones 'Paper Aeroplane' when I was a young teenager staying at my friends house as his brother played it on guitar in the next room. I burst in to ask what it was and then started learning the guitar the next day.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ben Howard, Every Kingdom (Deluxe Edition) Bon Iver, For Emma, Forever Ago Nick Mulvey, First Mind Each of these albums inspired me to learn to play acoustic guitar, and the abstract approach to folk music intrigued me to create my own version of it. Themes of nature, heartbreak and a deep dive into the human condition strongly resonated with me.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Rusty” I love the way the acoustic guitar riff melds into this laid back, strange folk sound to highlight the feeling of being off-centre. I was going through a transitional phase when I wrote this, in particular letting go of certain addictions.
