First known as the falsetto-voiced frontman for the acclaimed U.K. indie group Wild Beasts, Hayden Thorpe explores similar themes -- nature, sensuality, masculinity -- as a solo artist. On the confessional balladry of 2019's Diviner, he took his music in a more intimate direction, then added an expansive, electronic touch to 2021's Moondust for My Diamond. Inspired by the Robert Macfarlane novel of the same name, his third album, 2024's Ness, incorporated a chamber ensemble and natural objects (plants, seeds).
Hayden Thorpe has also released music as a member of Wild Beasts.
