Artist Biography
Alternative folk singer-songwriter Haux—aka Woodson Black—began playing music in his early teens after he discovered a classical guitar in his grandmother’s basement.
∙ Taylor Swift has championed his music, including “Heartbeat” and his 2017 singles “Youth” and “Cologne” on her celebrity playlists.
∙ Norwegian DJ/producer Kygo contacted Haux to suggest a collaboration, which resulted in their track “Only Us,” featured on Kygo’s 2020 album, Golden Hour.
∙ His debut album, 2020’s Violence in a Quiet Mind, was coproduced by Thomas Bartlett (Norah Jones, Sufjan Stevens) and features the single “Eight,” a duet with British singer-songwriter Rosie Carney.
