Sunny Florida may be America’s vacationland, but it’s also the epicenter of death metal activity in the U.S. St. Petersberg’s brutal, confrontational Hate Eternal run true to form for diabolical Sunshine State thrash. Since forming in 1997, they’ve released four crushing albums of innovative, conquering death featuring cutting-edge musical chops and complex song structures. Led by Former Morbid Angel and Ripping Corpse member Erik Rutan, the band remains in the forefront of true American death metal. Relentlessly fast, cripplingly heavy, and unwaveringly evil, Hate Eternal remain one of the prime examples of a now classic genre in heavy metal.
