Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was little kid, I used to sing anime songs after school. When I reached 10 years old, I listened Yellow Magic Orchestra "YMO" and changed my life completely and started digging synthesizers and world of electrical music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Isao Tomita, The Planets, Op. 32 Pat Metheny, Secret Story (Live - Estadio San Carlos De Apoquindo, Santiago, Chile 16 Sep '93) Yellow Magic Orchestra, イエロー・マジック・オーケストラ〈US版〉(2018 Bob Ludwig Remastering) "The Planets" by TOMITA is the album which I determined to be a composer when I was 12 years old. "YMO" is the album I was really shocked like hitting by lightning when I was 10 years old. "Secret Story" is really connected scenic image of New York.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “天照大御神” This song "Amaterasuoomikami" was made with Japanese shinobue player "Michiko Yamada" and shakuhachi player "Touzan Hirano". Both shinobue and shakuhachi were recorded in recording studio with NEVE88RS console by myself. I really like the result.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've had worked in recording studio at Manhattan, NY for about 15 years as an arranger, composer, mixing engineer supporting various artists. I didn't have a chance to publish my songs during those times, but it helped my mindset toward music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm currently continuously making music by myself mostly for stock music market, however I try those songs to be able to listen as a regular music. If there is a chance, I eager to challenge band or projects with others.
