In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to Frank's 'Channel Orange' when it first came out in July 2012, I was cycling down these country lanes by my house in Jersey, the sun was shining, my ipod nano had enough charge for a few hours and life was so simple and bliss.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chance the Rapper, Acid Rap Frank Ocean, channel ORANGE Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly Discovering these albums when I was younger not only changed my attitude to music and what was possible but soundtracked a lot of precious nostalgic moments in my younger years
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “La La La” This is the first song I basically produced by myself, using mainly stock sounds on logic, due to not wanting to wait around for producers! This song really got my foot in the door and gave me my first big performance and radio play opportunities.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being invited to perform at the Royal Albert Hall for Mixtape Madness's 'Royally RnB' event and perform on the same lineup as Mnelia and Kali Claire! What a beautiful place, headline show soon come!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I love to travel to new places and learn about their history and culture, so playing some shows abroad whilst also feeling like I'm on holiday would be amazing. I would also love to be have a sit down interview with Zane Lowe.
