In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember the moment I fell in love with performing and singing out of pure joy. I was four years old living in Kansas, jumping on my queen size bed singing "Mr. Sun" to my imaginary audience with a TV remote as my microphone.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Amber Mark, Three Dimensions Deep Aminé, TWOPOINTFIVE FKA twigs, CAPRISONGS These three albums encapsulate the sound I strive for in my music. I never want to place a box around the kind of music I make–just as nature grows, so do I as a songwriter and artist. These artists continue to break barriers through experimentation!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Version of Me” This record has unlocked a new era for me. It expresses my identity as a multi-dimensional being–able to create songs in any genre because it is what lights me up! This is also special because of how much I love the woman & artist I have grown into!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for the artist, CLAY, in Seattle this past May 2024–my first stateside show! The month of May was my first time solo traveling along the west coast where I performed at open mics, attended events, and made connections through the music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to song-write and perform with artists I look up to! Also to perform at prominent music festivals in which I can represent my home, the island of Guam.
