Rising Canada-based Punjabi rapper, singer and songwriter Harkirat Sangha shares his life story on one of his earliest hits, 2023 single “Lifestyle”. On the head-bopping track, the former resident of Korewala Kalan, a village in Punjab’s Moga district, who moved to Hamilton, Ontario to study, narrates how he worked as construction worker, pizza delivery boy and truck driver to make ends meet while in college. It also features shout-outs to Eminem, Lil Wayne and a pair of Punjabi icons, singer Surjit Bindrakhia and poet Pash, as inspirations—and was among the first batch of songs he made with Starboy X. The Mohali-residing producer has helmed most of Sangha’s releases since, including the 2024 EPs Mercury and Radioactive, which house two of his biggest hits: the ballads “Akhiyan” and “Donali”.
Sangha’s growing success led the duo of Chani Nattan and Inderpal Moga to enlist him to feature on the tune “GANGSTA LUV” on their debut album NICE DAY IN THE PIND, which was released in March 2025, the same month he staged his first major tour, hitting four cities across Canada.
