In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was in elementary school. A Japanese band called Sharam-Q got me hooked on their music, and I was turned on to playing an instrument and making music. Even now, I think my songs and the way I sing still have the atmosphere of the band.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Billy Joel, 52nd Street Remastered Hikaru Utada, Utada Hikaru Single Collection Vol.1 (2014 Remastered) MAMAMOO, I Say MAMAMOO: The Best -Japan Edition- I listened to them a lot when I was a student. I think Hikaru Utada is the best singer in Japan. I learned a lot from Billy Joel in terms of arrangement because he makes a wide variety of songs. Mamamoo is the best of the K-pop groups.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “帆立” I put many messages in the lyrics of this song. When I hear this song when I feel uncertain about the future, it makes me feel very positive. I want my loved ones to hear this song.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I love Filipino music and have even uploaded cover songs of Filipino music on YouTube. And in 2023, a famous Filipino band The Itchyworms discovered my videos. And I was invited to their Japan tour and sang on their stage. It is the best memory.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Of course I'm going for the Grammy. But not as a singer, but as a composer. I want to write a music for my favorite Filipino singer, and I want that singer to win a Grammy. That is how hopeful I am for the future of Philippine music.
