K-pop superstar GYUBIN exploded onto the scene with arena-ready compositions around her charming, inviting voice. Born in 2006, the singer, a former Top 10 Student contestant, broke through with the Wonstein-assisted single “Scribble” in 2023. That track is built around an infectious groove, bubbling with bouncy bass and steady handclaps. GYUBIN and Wonstein trade vocals, eventually teaming up for the chorus, during which they sing of the joys of young love. GYUBIN continued to pursue her crushes on her 2024 single “Really Like You,” which takes cues from American pop stars like Hilary Duff and Rebecca Black. After a first verse backed by acoustic guitar, the song explodes during a chorus highlighted by massive electric chords and drums that crack like fireworks. She intersperses her Korean words with the occasional English phrase, emphasizing her desires when she sings: “I really, really like you.”
