An indie rock project that marries rough D.I.Y. surfaces with simple but artfully intelligent songs, Gold Connections is the brainchild of songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Will Marsh. In September 2015, Gold Connections released a digital single, "Popular Fiction," and when the staff at the successful indie label Fat Possum Records heard Marsh's material, they immediately signed Gold Connections to a record deal. The label dropped a single, "Icarus," in July 2016, and a self-titled EP was issued in March 2017. ~ Mark Deming
