Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is traveling all round Mississippi at the age of 5 singing with my grandmother and cousin. My first solo was "Last Mile of The Way" by Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bobby Womack, Lookin For A Love Again Johnnie Taylor, Eargasm Sam Cooke, Night Beat/One Night Stand! Sam Cooke Live at the Harlem Square Club I can remember Sam Cooke being one of the very first artists I heard as a child on the record player. I would play it over and over again because his voice was so soothing. I wanted to sound just like him and the other soul greats.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Don't Ghost Me (Baby)” This is my first release that I also wrote and produced. I wanted to combine all the elements that make it me some country, some blues soul and a little quartet. That makes the "Ghost" sound.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment so far in my career was when a gentleman approached me after his show with tears in his eyes saying just how my music touched him and took him back to when he was a child and it brought him joy. My music touched someone.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to be able to perform my music overseas and reach a global audience. I am a lover of all types of music and I want to be able to expose my music to the masses and give them a true down home soul experience.
