Artist Biography
Formed in 2015, GFRIEND is a K-Pop band whose modest style and acclaimed choreography have led a new generation of girl groups worldwide.
∙ GFRIEND was included on Billboard’s Top 5 K-Pop Artists to Watch in 2015 list.
∙ Their No. 1 single “Rough” made Billboard’s 20 Best K-Pop Songs of 2016: Critic’s Picks list, and it was also the most downloaded song of the year in South Korea.
∙ The Awakening, their 2017 EP, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
∙ The group won their first MTV Europe Music Award for Best Korean Act in 2017, after having been nominated three times.
∙ After their full-length Japanese debut with the 2019 LP Fallin’ Light, GFRIEND landed two Top 50 singles on the Japan Hot 100: “Sunrise” and “Flower.”
∙ In 2020, “Crossroads” peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard K-Pop 100, marking their fifth entry onto the chart.
