Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memories of my childhood begin dancing to Ustad Ali Akbar Khan's album “Journey” as a two year old girl. My Grandfather would play many albums at home to which I would sing along. But this was my absolute favorite album.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A. R. Rahman, Lagaan (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Pandit Jasraj, Rajan & Sajan Mishra, Umakant & Ramakant Gundecha, Bhaktimala - Hanuman, Vol. 1 Various Artists, Ali Akbar Khan and Asha Bhosle - Legacy 16th-18th Century Music from India Bhaktimala opened me up to the divine power of music that uplifts the spirit, Legacy brought me to the vocal music of my Guru and our lineage of music, and Lagaan opened up possibilities of how to express music in different ways.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Paniya Bharan Kaise Jaawu” While recording this, I was transported to the land of Braj Bhoomi and felt like I was singing in that land as the character in the song fully seeing the scene before my eyes. That expression is what I tried to infuse into this song.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? A few memories stand out - meeting Smt. Annapurna Devi, singing for her and receiving her blessings, meeting AR Rahman for the first time and singing a classical song for him, and meeting Stevie Wonder where he showed me some new music of his.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to create a repertoire of music for upliftment in different styles from classical to pop so that anyone looking for a little pick me up can listen to one of my songs in whatever style they relate to and feel inspired for life.
