About Fula Flute
Artist Biography
Although formed in the musical mecca of New York City, Fula Flute has its true origins in the West African republic of Guinea. Led by Bailo Bah, master of the tambin, the collective of international but like-minded musicians create ethereal, unearthly sounds centered on the mystic-sounding Fulani flute. The outfit earned attention beyond the world music scene for its 2009 tribute to the impending presidency of Barack Obama.
