About FU-Schnickens
Artist Biography
East Flatbush natives Chip Fu, Poc Fu, and Moc Fu made their mark in the early 1990s with a rhyme style all their own. Often compared with Das Efx for their tongue-twisted flows, Fu-Schnickens took high-speed raps to another level, at times even spitting their rhymes backwards. A performance at Howard University led to a deal with Jive Records and a 1992 debut, F.U. “DON’T TAKE IT PERSONAL,” which spawned two singles and went gold. After Shaquille O’Neal publicly called Fu-Schnickens his favorite group, Jive arranged a studio meeting, resulting in Shaq’s induction into the rap game and the Fu’s biggest hit, “What’s Up Doc? (Can We Rock).”
