A self-taught musician, Andy Shauf started out playing in his parents’ Christian rock band.
∙ Shauf’s label-debut, 2009’s Darker Days, features songs he had recorded in his parents’ basement.
∙ The singer-songwriter worked up nearly 100 songs for 2012’s The Bearer of Bad News, which he whittled down to just 11.
∙ Shauf’s 2015 single “Jenny Come Home” was his first song to chart on Canadian radio.
∙ His fifth album, The Party, was a finalist for the 2016 Polaris Music Prize.
∙ In 2017, he scored Juno Award nominations for Breakthrough Artist, Adult Alternative Album, and Recording Engineer of the Year.
