In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I recall hearing the six million dollar man on television when I was, perhaps, 3 years old.
I had picked out the melody and been able to play it on piano.
I also remember listening to the Beatles and Wendy Carlos' incredible work - Switched On Bach What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
A Tribe Called Quest, The Low End Theory
Berliner Philharmoniker, Bernard Haitink, Jessye Norman, Mahler: Symphony No. 6 - Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen
John Coltrane, Coltrane's Sound
It's so hard to pick ONLY 3, but these 3 come to mind right now.
They all feel sublime in their own way.
Mahler - deep beauty and complexity, Low end Theory - groundbreaking cool and sound.
Coltrane - just feels like home.
It's pure joy.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Duck People”
This song (and album) was a real progression for the band as we continued to grow and change - embracing some vintage sounds that are special to us.
We tried to add some humor to this song by using Chip emulations and chip synths.
Nerds Unite! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
We played at the Montreaux Jazz festival - not long after the Pandemic.
It was relatively quiet but absolutely beautiful! We also played a couple of times at a little venue in germany called RedHorn District.
It's grassroots and all about love. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
We have yet to travel to Brazil with this band - and although we had plans to be in Japan in 2020, we have not yet been their either.
Soon!! Can't wait!
