Artist Biography
With eight UK Top 40 singles in the early 2000s under their belt—two of them Top 10 hits—Flip & Fill helped trance music conquer the charts at the dawn of the 21st century, converting it from an underground phenomenon into a crossover pop sensation. The Manchester duo of Graham Turner and Mark Hall began working together in the late ‘90s, and on singles like 2001’s “True Love Never Dies,” 2002’s “Shooting Star,” and 2003’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” they quickly established the fundamentals of their style: bouncy synth bass, driving four-to-the-floor beats, and ecstatic vocal refrains. They kept refining their uplifting Eurodance sound throughout the decade, took much of the 2010s off, and then returned in 2020 with a continuation of their uplifting pop-trance sound. In Flip & Fill’s world, trance music’s Y2K glory days live on.
