The Russian production duo Filatov & Karas are known for their glistening remixes of Europop hits.
• Both Filatov and Osokin worked as solo producers before joining forces in 2012. Early on, they received positive feedback from Swedish House Mafia.
• They spent two years making music under the name Red Ninjas but found themselves getting nowhere. So they changed their focus and started making instrumental and remixes of rock and pop hits.
• The twosome’s commercial breakthrough came in 2015, when their techno-laden house remix of French songstress Imany’s “The Good, the Bad & the Crazy” topped the Russian iTunes chart.
• Their summery 2016 remix of a different Imany tune, “Don’t Be So Shy,” reached No. 1 across Europe and in Russia.
• They achieved another Russian No. 1 in 2019 with their ambient dance offering “Au Au.”
