Political rapcore band FEVER 333 debuted in 2017, when ex-letlive. frontman Jason Aalon Butler joined up with guitarist Stephen Harrison, formerly of The Chariot, and Night Verses drummer Aric Improta.
∙ Butler said his formative musical moment came at a Rage Against the Machine concert: “I saw people of color onstage playing this, like, rock/hip-hop hybrid, which was quite literally what I was.”
∙ FEVER 333’s first-ever performance was a DIY concert in 2017 in the parking lot of Randy’s Donuts in Inglewood, California.
∙ Travis Barker of blink-182 met Butler in a grocery store and expressed interest in collaborating, which led to him contributing to the band’s debut EP, Made an America.
∙ In 2018, their first single, “Walking In My Shoes,” was a Top 10 rock radio hit, and “Made an America” was nominated for a Best Rock Song Grammy Award.
