Japanese dance crew FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE came together in 2016, when EXILE members Sekai and Taiki Sato were enlisted to head up a new group.
∙ In 2017, Yagi Yusei and Nakajima Sota were announced as FANTASTICS vocalists after winning a TV competition called Vocal Battle Audition.
∙ Before releasing their own music, the group featured on “Turn Back Time,” a 2018 EXILE single dedicated to Nakao Shota, a FANTASTICS member fighting a losing battle with cancer.
∙ “Over Drive,” FANTASTICS’ 2018 debut single, was certified Gold, and the group’s next three singles all hit No. 2 on the Japanese charts.
∙ FANTASTICS joined fellow EXILE TRIBE groups THE RAMPAGE, BALLISTIK BOYZ, and GENERATIONS on 2019’s collaborative album BATTLE OF TOKYO ~ENTER THE Jr.EXILE~ and subsequent live shows.
∙ FANTASTIC 9, the group’s debut album, was released in 2020 and reached No. 4 on the Japanese charts, where it spent 15 weeks.
