Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I have a hard time remembering my childhood, but I grew up with a mother who always sang Aretha Franklin, Josh Groban, Adele and Beyonce. As soon as I got a keyboard in my early teens, I started to write music constantly. It quickly became my home.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive Jazmine Sullivan, Heaux Tales Sabrina Claudio, No Rain, No Flowers All 3 of these albums are so perfect from start to finish. Forest Hills Drive takes me back to high school. Heaux Tales and No Rain, No Flowers speak to my soul and make me feel understood as a young woman - and these vocalists are incredible!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shower Me” I wrote this at a pivotal time in my life, and I feel like the writing process helped me understand myself better. My bad habits were becoming clear as day and I was tired of my own excuses. I knew I had everything I needed within to truly bloom.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Some of my favourite memories are performing to a sold out show in LA, and flying to Nottingham to speak live with BBC Radio East Midlands. I know I shouldn't need validation, but I do love feeling appreciated & acknowledged for all of my hard work.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Sooooo many things - COLORSxSTUDIOS, NPR Tiny Desk, having a billboard in the major cities, opening for some of my favourite artists and then having my own world tour, and the list goes on and on!
