Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first memory is my dad playing Elton John songs on the piano.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beck, Odelay Bonnie Raitt, Bonnie Raitt (Remastered) Stevie Wonder, Music of My Mind (Reissue) The first two are what I aspire to: cool songs, inventive sonic structures, endless creativity. The Bonnie Raitt record is a perfect debut album, filled with great musicianship and singing, yet feels so homey, like it was done in your living room.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Arrow Through Me” It has layers. It's kind of simple, kind of complex. It's fun to listen to but it's also a little sad. Most of all it just bops.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring Australia as support for John Fogerty is up there. I was born in Australia. As a young man, Iused to listen to my parents' CCR cassettes all of the time. To go back to the ancestral home and meet the man was like something out of a dream.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would like to make albums for the rest of my life. Whether it's with the Sheepdogs, BROS, solo or even something else altogether. I'd love to do film or tv music. Anything really. I just want to keep making music for as long as I've got.
