In 1970, singer and guitarist Bruce Wheaton found himself without a band after the members of Stitch in Tyme went their separate ways. He quickly solved the problem by moving to Toronto and forming a new group, Everyday People. The other artists he teamed up with were singer Pamela Marsh, keyboardist David Hare, guitarist Christ Paputts, bassist Carson Richards, and drummer Alan Muggeridge. During its short life, Everyday People recorded a number of hit singles, and one full-length album (a 1971 self-titled LP) before slipping from the spotlight.
A year after its formation, Everyday People singed a deal with GRT Records. That same year, 1971, the group recorded a number of singles, including "I Get the Feeling" and "You Make Me Wonder." The band called it quits soon after, though most of the members stayed in music, with endeavors like the Fun Guys, A Positive Outlook, the British Are Coming, and Molly Oliver. ~ Charlotte Dillon
