In 2005, metalcore band Escape the Fate won a local radio competition judged by members of My Chemical Romance, which led to a contract with Epitaph Records.
∙ “Reverse the Curse,” from their debut LP, 2006’s Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, was also featured in the popular video game Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam.
∙ Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd cowrote and sang on two tracks from 2008’s This War is Ours: “10 Miles Wide” and “Harder Than You Know.”
∙ The band’s self-titled 2010 album not only reached the Top 30 on the Billboard 200 chart, but it also topped the Hard Rock Albums chart.
∙ “Picture Perfect,” from 2013’s Ungrateful, was cowritten with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump.
∙ 2015’s Hate Me and 2018’s I Am Human were helmed by Grammy Award-winning producer Howard Benson (P.O.D., Papa Roach, Kelly Clarkson).
