Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Asa's debut album was my companion on car rides home from school as a secondary schooler. Her writing brought stories to life and her voice filled the stories with melody. I knew somehow I had to share the joy I felt; so I learned to do the same.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Anendlessocean, Decagon Aṣa, Asa [Asha] Jon Bellion, The Human Condition These albums told me wonderful stories using some of the sweetest melodies. The songwriting is simply brilliant to me. Directly and through metaphor, they drew me in and situate me in their stories. my heart was filled, broken & mended by their art.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ba Mi Lo” Ba Mi Lo is truly, very me, in that love is who I am. I've always been a hopeless romantic. It's gotten my heart in trouble more times than I'd like to count but hey, the heart wants what it wants.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I'd say selling out an 800-capacity venue in my final year of university would top this list. I am obsessed with creating live music experiences - I've been doing it for as long as I can remember. Getting to do that as a final-year was a dream.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm really just getting started as an artist, so my bucket list is pretty full. I'd love to one day sell out the Royal Albert hall in England, though. Also, to tour Europe, the US, Asia and Africa, playing some sets with my inspirations & my friends.
