In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I came of age in the 1990s, which meant going to large festivals with no adult supervision as a teenager was de rigueur. My first gig memory is going to the Big Day Out in Australia: it was sweaty, loud, overcrowded and so much fun. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Marianne Faithfull, Rich Kid Blues
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, No More Shall We Part (2011 - Remaster)
Sandy Denny, I've Always Kept a Unicorn - The Acoustic Sandy Denny
The gentle side of Nick Cave: tender, desolate, full of lust and longing. What's not to love?
The folky side of Marianne Faithfull: delicate, vulnerable, sexy.
Sandy Denny: the most beautiful voice of 60s and 70s.

“Queen Jane Approximately”
This song has been a life raft for me. I recorded it during a period of writer's block. I was worried I'd never write another song again, so I turned to the music of Bob Dylan and made an album exploring the delicate, gentle side of his songwriting. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
It's all memorable and it's all a fog. I'm an unreliable narrator. I love touring, I love meeting other musicians, I love recording. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I'm more of a "follow your gut" than a "follow a checklist" kind of person. I'd like to record more. I'd like to hibernate in a cabin and write a new record. I'd like to be have the means to take my cats on tour!
