About Eluvium
As Eluvium, musician Matthew Cooper creates patient, high-definition ambient sounds often centered around hauntingly minimal piano. His massive and evolving body of work began in the early 2000s with heavily processed guitar drones and gradually expanded to include more electronic and classically influenced sounds. Eluvium synthesized his different approaches on his epic 2013 double album Nightmare Ending and continued exploring new modes of reflective instrumental composition on releases like 2023's (Whirring Marvels In) Consensus Reality. Virga III, the third installment in a series of experimental recordings, appeared in 2026.
