Eddy Lover is a Panamanian reggae singer who rose to international fame with his guest appearance on La Factoría's 2006 smash hit "Perdóname." Born Eduardo Mosquera on March 16, 1985, in Panama City, Panama, Eddy Lover is often compared to Flex (aka N***a), a fellow Panamanian reggae singer who scored a massive hit in 2008 with "Te Quiero." Both artists exemplify the emerging Panamanian reggae style (aka reggae panameño), which is a tropical-inflected style of reggaeton generally sung romantically. Perdóname (2008) marked Eddy Lover's full-length solo debut, featuring not only the title track but also the hit singles "Luna" and "No Debiste Volver." ~ Jason Birchmeier
