Artist Biography
Ducktails is the solo project of Real Estate-founding lead guitarist Matthew Mondanile. While not too dissimilar in tone from their own sun-kissed pop, Mondanile's work as Ducktails presents a more fragmented, mercurial version of the Garden State of mind. Prolific and perhaps a tad illusory to begin, Ducktails had issued a number of cassettes, CD-Rs, 7"s, and a pair of "official" LPs by 2009. He released four more solo albums before leaving Real Estate in 2016 to concentrate on Ducktails. ~ Nate Knaebel & Marcy Donelson
