Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memory is performing in church as a child. My family noticed my love for singing and push me to sing. The way my voice touched others even as a little child inspired me to want to make a career using my musical gifts.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Babyface, Tender Lover Brandy, Afrodisiac Ne-Yo, In My Own Words These albums played a huge role in my artistry and love for music. Afrodisiac was so revolutionary and ahead of its time, IMOW was a heartfelt take on R&B/Pop and Tender Lover is what I consider to be a blueprint for songwriters everywhere.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Away From Me” I love this record for so many reasons. This record came from a heartfelt and real place, at a time when I needed to close a chapter in my life. I was able to collaborate with my brother to write this record and it just felt like it was meant to be.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career so far was the opportunity to perform a series of concerts in my hometown. It felt good to see people from my city singing my songs! It felt like a dream come true.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to collaborate with my musical inspirations Brandy and Babyface. I feel like we could create magic!
