Blending hard-rock guitars, pop hooks, and alternative experimentation into a wonderfully cohesive whole, Don Broco are infectious proof that a band can be all things to all people. The original lineup came together in 2008 in the English market town of Bedford. They soon hit the road, honing their musicianship while sharing stages with the likes of Enter Shikari and Deaf Havana—fellow Brits who were also post-hardcore kids now embracing pop, arena rock, and even dance music. All the hard work resulted in 2013’s “You Wanna Know,” a breakout hit that found Don Broco calibrating high-decibel energy with propulsive grooves and synthesizers inspired by club music. The group have since become even more audacious in their genre-bending and love for sonic novelty. Whereas the 2018 album Technology dives into electronic rock as futuristic as an actual cyborg, its 2021 follow-up, Amazing Things, demonstrates Don Broco boldly reimagining nu-metal for a world still sorely missing the great Linkin Park.
Members of Don Broco include, or have included, Simon Delaney, Matthew Donnelly, Tom Doyle and more.
