In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories is singing into a foil-wrapped stick outside my grandma’s house. I was 6, barefoot, making up melodies under the sun. I didn’t know what an artist was yet, but I knew I wanted to be heard.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Burna Boy, Twice As Tall Kanye West, Graduation Wizkid, Made In Lagos: Deluxe Edition Burna Boy’s Twice As Tall for the vision, Wizkid’s Made in Lagos for the mood, and Kanye’s Graduation for the genius. These albums shaped how I think, feel, and create—pure inspiration in sound.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sijja” Sijja” is special to me because it captures pain, growth, and resolve all in one. I wrote it at a low point, and seeing people connect with it reminds me that I’m not alone—and neither are they. It’s more than a song; it’s a testimony.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career was signing with ZHAFAR. It felt like everything I had worked for was finally aligning. That day reminded me that dreams backed by consistency can actually come true.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’ve ticked off a lot, but I still dream of performing on the biggest global stages—like Coachella or Wireless. I also want to collaborate with the legends that shaped my sound. The journey’s just getting started.
