In 2008, Japanese rock trio DOES found mainstream success when the propulsive breakout single “Cloudy Weather” hit No. 3 on the Japanese singles chart and was certified Platinum.
∙ DOES contributed the buzzy power ballad “Torch Lighter” to the 2009 blockbuster film Crows Zero II.
∙ The trio’s best-selling 2010 LP, Singles, gave them their first Top 20 album charting, thanks to its inclusion of some of their earlier, hard-to-find indie releases.
∙ The band celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2013 with the release of a greatest-hits compilation (Otherside of Does) and the live concert film (Trace the Six).
∙ After a three-year hiatus, they publicized their highly anticipated return on January 1, 2020, with reunion show announcements for Tokyo and Shanghai.
