The popular trance project Diver & Ace bring together a couple of Germany's most celebrated electronica artists: Ralph Armand Beck and Torsten Stenzel. You might know Beck as the wacky DJ who likes to dress up as a scuba diver, hang from the rafters, and even dabble in a little ballet while spinning records. Hence, the pair also often works under the guise of DJ Taucher (DJ Diver in German). Stenzel has kept a somewhat lower profile than his wet-suited partner, focusing much more on production than stage performances. His work, however, has won him plenty of adoration and acclaim, particularly in the U.K. where his other major project, York, has done extremely well on the charts there. As Diver & Ace, the duo have scored a number of club hits with such tracks as "Fantasy," "Infinity," "Mental Thing," "Miracle," and "Science Fiction." Their album releases include the popular Life Is a Remix and Return to Atlantis, both served up under the moniker of DJ Taucher. ~ David Peter Wesolowski
