Diggin’ in the Crates is a NY supergroup whose members (Showbiz and A.G., Lord Finesse, Diamond D, O.C., Buckwild, Fat Joe, and Big L) are responsible for many of the greatest hip-hop albums of the 1990s.The name first appeared in 1991 as Finesse and Diamond joined Showbiz & A.G. for a posse cut on their seminal SOUL CLAP EP. Over the following years, the roster expanded and the crew’s rep was consolidated with various solo LPs and collaborations.Though D.I.T.C. as a whole has never recorded an entire album, they released a string of underground singles in the late 1990s that were later collected in 2000’s WORLDWIDE.
