In 2016, Udo Dirkschneider, former Accept frontman, announced he would retire all Accept songs from his set. To please fans, he toured as Dirkschneider, focusing solely on Accept material. The tour, extended into 2017 and beyond, was documented in the concert album/film Live: Back to the Roots. In 2025, Dirkschneider released the studio LP Balls to the Wall Reloaded, featuring re-recorded Accept songs with a slew of guest vocalists.
