Summoning a darkly atmospheric mood with downbeat melodies, punishing guitars, and doomstruck lyrics, Last Train are a French rock band who vividly capture the sound of life going wrong, depicted with a muscular yet artful touch. Fiercely independent, Last Train release their own records, book their own shows, and even stage their own annual music festival to ensure their creative vision is never compromised. The group's 2017 debut, Weathering, added a touch of garage rock swagger to their knife-edged attack, 2019's The Big Picture evoked '90s noise rock, and 2024's Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was a purposefully atypical collection of soundscapes. 2025's III consolidated their strengths and delivered their hardest punch yet.
