About Dianogah
Jason Harvey, Jay Ryan, and Kip McCabe formed the experimental indie rock trio Dianogah in 1995 in Chicago. Formed around the rhythmic center of two bassists and a drummer, the outfit tapped the talents of famed producer Steve Albini to mold the sound of their debut LP, 1997’s AS SEEN FROM ABOVE. Subsequent releases BATTLE CHAMPIONS and MILLIONS OF BRAZILIANS were critically lauded and led to tours with everyone from Sebadoh to Tortoise. After a long recording absence, Dianogah returned with 2008’s QHNNNL, which featured vocals for the first time, as well as additional guest appearances by contemporary luminaries like Andrew Bird.
Members of Dianogah include, or have included, Jay Ryan.
