In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mum used to blast all sorts of music in the car. I particularly remember belting 'Long Way To The Top' from the School Of Rock soundtrack. I was allowed to swear if I was singing! Though I loved doing Tomika's part the most.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Blind Melon, Soup Evanescence, Fallen twenty one pilots, Blurryface I chose Blurryface because it was the album that got me interested in songwriting and production. I chose Soup because Vernie is my comfort song, and I chose Fallen because it was my first ever album! I stole it from my sister and never gave it back.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cold Water” I've been through a lot, but nothing damaged my health more than giving up did. After a year of self-reflection and gluing myself back together, Cold Water is the first step back into my identity and power. I'm like a cockroach. Or the Terminator.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've done a lot that I'm proud of, but being able to bring my mum in to record at Abbey Road is honestly one of the happiest days of my life. It felt so good to walk her through those doors.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Oh, I have an endless list of things I'd like to do. Main stage at Glastonbury and / or Reading & Leeds, collaborating with my heroes, a world tour...
