A group with a stripped-down and punchy sound that takes equal inspiration from the jagged emotions of punk rock and the swaggering power of garage rock, Delivery are another in a long string of top-notch Australian bands. Think Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Twerps, or one of the many bands from that country who balance noise and melody -- left hooks and singalong choruses, too -- without coming across too heavy. The group's initial recordings were restricted in scope by the COVID-19 lockdowns, but once they were able to discover themselves fully as a three-dimensional live act, they issued two albums that had all the fire of punk (2022's Forever Giving Handshakes) and a more varied sonic palette that went from wall-rattling hard rock to introspective ballads (2024's Force Majeure).
