American rap group Delinquent Habits was one of the first major Latino hip-hop acts mixing English and Spanish lyrics together. The group's Sen Dog-produced 1996 self-titled debut combined obscure funk with traditional Latin rhythms and made it into the top half of the Billboard 200 with help from the Top 40-charting single "Tres Delinquents." They followed it with the Big Pun-featuring Here Come the Horns (1998) and Merry Go Round (2000), and their fourth LP, the Lesley Gore-sampling Freedom Band (2003), was the last to feature the original lineup. With a new vocalist, Delinquent Habits released three more albums before the end of the decade, then returned with their original MC for It Could Be Round Two in 2017.
