About Dear Jane
Artist Biography
Formed in 2003, Hong Kong Cantopop band Dear Jane was inspired by the music of such ’90s pop-punk bands as blink-182 and Green Day.
∙ The group scored their first No. 1 Hong Kong radio hit in 2009 with the rock-influenced “別說話,” from their breakthrough album, XOXO.
∙ In 2012, “Yellow Fever” was named one of the top nine original songs at the New Town Madden Awards, which are given out annually by a popular Hong Kong radio station.
∙ Dear Jane guitarist/vocalist Howie Yung has produced or arranged songs for other notable Hong Kong acts, including Shiga Liin and Kary Ng.
∙ They won the Silver Award in the Best Bands/Groups category at the prestigious RTHK Top 10 Chinese Gold Songs Awards four years in a row, beginning in 2016.
