Violinist David Haroutunian has been heard on several recordings on major labels in the West. His career has been truly international, encompassing appearances as far afield as Argentina and Morocco. Haroutunian also maintains a career as an arts administrator, serving as artistic director for three French music festivals. His classical recording debut came in 2021 with pianist Sofya Melikyan and cellist Mikayel Hakhnazaryan on a recording of Brahms' Piano Trios 2 & 3. In 2023, Haroutunian released the album Mayrig: To Armenian Mothers, and the following year, he returned with Melikyan and Hakhnazaryan with a recording of music by Brahms and Schoenberg.
