Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I vividly remember the first time I wrote a song. I have always liked journaling and I found then that I could journal to music and process my thoughts in a beautiful way. The whole experience was filled with exclamations of "Wow! I can do that too!"
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Benjamin William Hastings, Benjamin William Hastings Shane & Shane, Psalms, Hymns, And Spiritual Songs, Vol. 1 twenty one pilots, Trench These three albums have shaped who I am as a songwriter. Benjamin William Hastings in terms of the rawness and realness in music, Trench in terms of how to write in metaphor, and Shane and Shane in terms of how to write form the Scriptures.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Real” I wrote this song is because I've always been so scared to release music. I don't like my voice or my musical ability, and I don't like how any of it sounds. This was me finally killing my pride and saying, if it helps someone, it's worth it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Honestly releasing this song has been the biggest moment of my career. Not because I made it big or anything, but because it is the moment that has started me on the journey of overcoming the fear of what other people think of my music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Everything. I want to release a whole album. I want to play a show. I want to hear a story of how my music helped someone. I want to see a song of mine led in a church. There's so much left to do because I really haven't started as an artist yet.
